The 2024 Everwood Arts Administration Internship

 

Live on-site and gain valuable arts administration experience working alongside the co-founders of Everwood Farmstead Foundation – a small but mighty non-profit arts organization.

Everwood Farmstead Foundation was founded in 2014 with a mission to host inspiring spaces for artists to perform, teach and work in a natural environment. The Artist Series hosts a wide variety of performances in the 110-year old barn. Artist Workshops teach and inspire both aspiring and professional artists with focused, hands-on practice. The Artist Retreat is designed for the professional artist who needs a nurturing space in a natural setting to work on a creative project in solitude.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

  • Lead hospitality, marketing, and communications for the Artist Retreat

  • Assist with Artist Series and Artist Workshop events

  • Assist with the Aspiring Artists Fund

  • Assist with marketing efforts, including social media, and e-blasts

  • Assist with vendor management

  • Assist with audience and donor relations

  • Participate in Board meetings

  • Help with administrative systems and tools

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to produce clear and accurate written content—applicants must be confident in composing a wide variety of messages in the Everwood brand voice

  • Knowledge of basic administrative programs, including Microsoft Office Suites and Google Workspaces

  • Ability to prioritize and work both independently and collaboratively

  • Good communicating and time management skills

  • Enjoys interacting with people (e.g. the founders, artists visiting from around the country, and audience members)

  • Passionate about the arts and its power to build and support communities

The internship includes free lodging in a private, beautifully furnished, two bedroom, one bath cottage at the Farmstead, plus a stipend of $200.00/week. The Intern will work 20-30 hours/week, primarily Wednesdays – Sundays. 

Internship occurs: May 25 - October 6, 2024

The estimated start and end dates may be flexible.
