His plays have been produced at theaters across the United States. His autobiographic piece, Home and Away, premiered at the Seattle Rep and moved to Second Stage Theater, where it received a Drama Desk Award nomination.

For much of 2016, she toured alongside folk icon Ani Difranco. She has been featured on NPR's “Favorite Sessions”, CMT, American Songwriter, The London Times and Paste Magazine.

Chef JIM CHRISTIANSEN is noted for his hyper-seasonal, close-to-home ingredient philosophy as well as his ability to create gorgeous and exquisitely flavorful dishes. His time spent at world-renowned Noma informed the food at Heyday, his Minneapolis restaurant. Since it opened in 2014, Jim has been recognized as a Food & Wine Magazine Best New Chef (2015) and a James Beard nominee as Best Chef Midwest (2015, 2016 and 2017).

Rogue Valley, Bad Bad Hats, and Jim Christiansen of Heyday Restaurant, Minneapolis

September 24, 2016

ROGUE VALLEY, one of Minneapolis' most dynamic live acts, just released their much-anticipated new album, Radiate/Dissolve. The band regularly performs at top venues across the region and has toured internationally supporting acts such as The Jayhawks, Lucinda Williams and Brandi Carlile. Paste Magazine called Rogue Valley one of Minnesota's best.

Indie-rock band, BAD BAD HATS was named Minnesota's Best New Music Act by City Pages in 2015. But the band is already nationally known with attention from Pitchfork, NPR and Spin for their debut album, Psychic Reader, and their recent appearance at SXSW and national tour with Third Eye Blind. Their music is surprising and universal.

JIM CHRISTIANSEN’s focus is on cuisine that is light, seasonal, and delicious. His time spent at world-renowned Noma informed the food at Heyday, his own Minneapolis restaurant. Since it opened in 2014, Jim has been recognized as a Food & Wine Best New Chef (2015) and a James Beard nominee as Best Chef Midwest (2015 and 2016).

“Thank you for the pictures! Looking at them brings back awesome memories of the day! It was less than 24 hours while we were there, but felt like an entire week of "getting away". Your farmstead is unbelievably beautiful, and to be honest, I had no idea what kind of destination it is. Very impressed in EVERY aspect, and thank you for including us on such a memorable day.”
